Postcard

I was very surprised to receive a postcard with my initials from one of the moderators of the yahoogroup Zentangle Inspired art.

I was really captivated by this pear shape I saw on the yahoogroup Zentangle Inspired Art that was done by Astrid. 

Here is my version.  As I was drawing I was thinking of my good friend Dina.  She has a pear for lunch most days !!!

The addition of colour with a micron pigma brush.  Cool toy!!!

Zentangle #2

My main hobby is embroidery.   Zentangling is reminding me a little of pulled thread or Schwalm Embroidery where you have to choose filling stitches to complete shapes.

I recently signed up for a course that requires some drawing and I am hoping that this will help me a lot to become freer with a pen in my hand.

New to Zentangle

I have been captivated by Zentangles since seeing a calendar produced by Adele Sciortino who is a member of our guild and a great creative artist.

I have never been much of a drawer and I trying this out might loosen me up a little.

So without further ado -- here is my first tangle.   I am probably breaking all the laws because I just looked around and did things that I thought might fit.
